Mission

Founded by Cat Zimmerman, CZ Mustangs is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to training wild mustangs, retraining surrendered and rescued mustangs, and promoting the responsible adoption and care of mustangs.

CZ Mustangs works with other organizations and venues to provide information and education the public through lectures, demonstrations, clinics, and performances in order to promote the importance of protecting these American legends, both in the wild and in captivity.

About Cat Zimmerman

In 2014, Cat Zimmerman began training her first wild mustang, Comancheria (aka Monche) for the Mustang Heritage Foundation's Extreme Mustang Makeover in Massachusetts. Since that time, Cat has achieved national recognition as one of the top aspiring mustang trainer and performer.

In 2016, Cat Zimmerman founded CZ Mustangs, a 501c3 Non-Profit Mustang Training Facility, Rescue, and Sanctuary. Just twenty minutes from Gainesville, Florida, CZ Mustangs is located on 30+ acres of lush green pastures with over 15 acres dedicated to sanctuary for mustangs that cannot be rehomed.
Cat Zimmerman is an authorized TIP (Trainer Incentive Program) facility through the Mustang Heritage Foundation.

As lifetime members and contributing partners to the Mustang Heritage Foundation, CZ Mustangs strives to further their mission by holding a variety of events including public demonstrations, lessons, and clinics offered by Cat Zimmerman and special guest trainers.

Finally, Cat Zimmerman is the co-founder of American Mustang Trainers Association, a 501c3 volunteer-run organization that provides education and support to fellow mustang trainers as well as an annual National Mustang Trainer Competition.
