In conjunction with our sister charity, Unbridled Heroes Project in New Jersey, CZ Mustangs is proud to offer the Unbridled Heroes Challenge at our ranch in Archer, Florida.
Many of our veterans suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after experiencing combat stress while serving our country. Studies have shown that equine therapy helps people suffering from PTSD. CZ Mustangs is offering a free recreational therapy program for our veterans. They served our country; now it is time for us to serve them. And what better way to do so than by teaming them up with mustangs who have also encountered traumatic situations from living wild, being captured, and then becoming domesticated.
The program runs eight weeks with participants meeting one afternoon a week. Each participant will be assigned to one of our mustang babies. Besides grooming the horse, they will receive training on handling & conditioning as well as working obstacles. At the end of the program, the participants will compete in the CZ Mustangs’ Unbridled Heroes Challenge. Program runs from September to early November and February to early April. Competitions are in November and April. Different classes are offered for veterans, their spouses, widows of veterans, and their children.
